Football Playoffs 2010: Semifinals

There are not many times when you can go into a gas station to buy a soda for you and your friends, when after a short discussion with the cashier puts this question into your head, "What am i doing at a gas station, at 12:20 in the morning".  I think i'm getting ahead of myself though.  I'll go back to when this all started . . .

A week or so ago, Mo asked the band who would be willing, if we were able to go pep at the semi finals.  Naturally the majority of the band said yes and so Mo made some arrangements for us to be able to.  So the day before the game we were all reminded to bring lots of jackets and pillows and money for food.  We were also reminded that since the game was at 6:30 we would not be home till about 2-3am, which then didn't seem too bad for most of us.  Anyways, Veteran's Day came and when we finished marching in the parade, we returned to the high school to drop off our uniforms and to get on the bus to go up north.  Now if you've never been on a bus ride with a bunch of band kids you have not lived.  It can get pretty crazy with obnoxous singing, shoes flying, and everyone mooching food off of one another.  I love it.  This bus trip seemed to go by faster than others and before we knew it we were stopping in Filmore for gas and soda.  I think now would be a good time to mention our bus driver.  His name was Otto or at least that's what he told us we could call him.  Now Otto was probably the coolest bus driver i've ever had.  Instead of having us listen to the radio, he had a cd full of songs that we all knew, or at least Carol and Kelby knew.  And he was pretty funny and joked with us a bunch.  When he had to be replaced at Provo we missed him, but the new guy Vic was pretty cool too.  Now the journey from Provo to Salt Lake went by real fast with a lot of slug-bug seeing goodness and Panda buffet eating deliciousness.  And then we finally made it to the game.

The game was generally pretty boring.  When we arrived we had already scored and the Rabbits were still zero.  With a hurried attempt to get ready and all our instruments warmed up we were able to play quite a bit, that is as much as we could without Delta's band trying to play over us.  We still had fun though and by the time our team had finished bunny bashing the score was 38-7 a overall domination by the tigers.  When the game was finished our band hurried and got all its stuff together so that we could hopefully be home before 3.  I don't remember much of the ride home actually.  That's probably due to the fact that i was asleep for most of it.  I do remember stopping at a gas station and asking the cashier what time it was but after that nothing till we pulled into the high school.

It was a pretty great trip and i'm so stoked for the Finals next week.  I'm just hoping the trip will be just as fun as this one, even though i already know its going to be even funner.  Yes, funner.  I'm so excited.

Veteran's Day

Altough i was fairly stressed and rather worried about how we would perform, i thought our band did rather well in the parade.  we sounded good, as far as i could tell we were all on step, and the trumpets even had their horn angles even.  So now you must be thinking something on the lines of us winning this year, but sadly that is not the case.  At least i don't think it is.  Our sources tell us Dixie won, but when you use middle schoolers as sources you never know what is actually going on.  I still trust them and so i believe we lost, which is a total bummer.  I was so excited to have that trophy in our band room for my senior year, but i guess you can't always get what you want.  But even though we didn't win i'm still proud of our band and had a great time marching with them.  I think one of the saddest parts of being a senior is that we probably won't wear those sexy band uniforms again.  And i think the whole band would agree that those uniforms are sexy,(especcially mine) even if other people don't think so.  So i wish next years band good luck, if they even have the trophy up for grabs next year they better march good.

The Sad Things in Life.

Many things have happened in my life that i could consider to be sad. Losing a home, losing the band trophy, getting sick from too much chocolate, and getting a lower score on a math assignment than Nataly.  But in very recent times (this week), the saddest thing to happen to me has been the loss of my Pokemon Platinum version.  I don't know where i lost it and that's the worst problem.  It just DISSAPERED! crazy, right?  Iyeah, it is.

I think one of my major problems with losing this game is that it's not the first one i've ever lost.  And by that i don't mean just my first game i've ever lost cause i've lost a few before.  No, this is the second Platinum version i've lost.  The first one wasn't really my fault, but i still lost it after the fire.  Anywho. . . i've been frantically searching everywhere and i just can't seem to find it.  I'm pretty sure its in my room, but who knows, it could have grown legs and walked away.  Which in that case its probably the coolest game in the world.  I just hope that i find it or that it walks back to me sometime soon.

So my Pokemon Platinum version, if you can see this and you have learned how to read, i ask you to come back to me.  Or at least send me a sign so that i can come and get you back.  i miss you!!! :(

Every journey starts with but a single step. . . on your left foot.

I thought that as an appropriate title for the beginning of my adventure in the blogging world.  After all, to me this is an adventure that will be a fun experience.  Maybe sometime soon I'll actually have something applicable to my blog to say.  Until then, I'll just say ttyl.
